Create a Facebook Page

1. Create a Page

Local business or place, company/organization, brand or product, artist/band/public figure, entertainment or cause/community

  1. Go to facebookcom/pages/create
  2. Select a page type
  3. Fill out the required information then click Get Started

2. Give the key details in the About section

1. Enter the description in the space provided
2. Don’t forget to add your website URL at the second textbox
3. Then click Save Info

  • Get 155 characters to describe your page
  • Include the most important information about what you offer to your audience so they understand why your page should matter to them
  • Be as descriptive and helpful as possible
  • Add your website URL in the top level
  • About section and also add your website URL in this section

3. Add Facebook URL

4. Add Profile Picture

  • Make sure the photo you use is one that accurately reflects your brand, because the more people see it, the more they’ll recognize it and associate it with your brand
  • This photo will appear as an icon every time you comment on a post or publish in news feed
  • Recommended dimension is 180px x 180px
  1. UPLOAD FROM COMPUTER: Click Upload From Computer, browse and choose the photo you want to use as your profile image and then click Open OR IMPORT FROM WEBSITE: Click Import From Website and then enter the website address. Then click Import  
  2. Click Next

 

5. Create an awesome cover photo

  • Great opportunity to deliver a visual element that supports your branding or draws attention
  • You can also include a marketing message in your cover photo
  • Recommended dimension is 828px x 315px
  1. Go To Page
  2. Click Add a Cover. Then click Upload Photo
  3. Browse and choose the photo you want to use as your Cover Photo then click Open
  4. Drag to reposition then click Save

6. Add Page Username

  • The username you choose will also appear in the URL for your page
  • Pick a name that is consistent with what your customers know you by so they’ll find you when running a search
  1. Go to Page
  2. Click Create Page @
  3. Enter the username you want
  4. Click Create Username

7. Add a Button

  1. Go to Page
  2. Click + Add a Button
  3. Choose a button you want to add (Ex. Book Now, Call Now, Contact Us etc.)
  4. Provide the information needed
  5. Then click Create

8. Fill out your profile completely

  • You can also change the order of the sections in the right side part of your page. In order to rearrange the orders. You can follow the steps below:
  1. Go to Page
  2. Click the pencil icon in the About section at the right side part of the page
  3. Then click Manage Sections
  4. Drag to re-order position

  1. Then click Edit
  2. Enter information in the fields
  3. Then click Save Changes

9. Add collaborators to your page

To add collaborators

 

Roles:

 

  • Admin – Complete and total access to everything (you are an admin by default)
  • Editor – Can edit the Page, send messages and post as the Page, create Facebook ads (https://blog.bufferapp.com/facebookads), see which admin created a post or comment, and view insights.
  • Moderator – Can respond to and delete comments on the Page, send messages as the Page, see which admin created a post or comment, create ads, and view insights.
  • Advertiser – Can see which admin created a post or comment, create ads and view insights.
  • Analyst – Can see which admin created a post or comment and view insights.

 

  1. Go to your Settings
  2. Find Page Roles section.
  3. Type in the name of any Facebook friend or person who has liked your page or you can type in an email address associated with Facebook account
  4. Add Role
  5. Click Save
